InsideOUT Spring Menu Tasting

Spring is officially here and the flowers aren’t the only things changing around town. Monday night I was invited to the intimate tasting of the new Spring menu for InsideOUT. First up was the the heirloom tomato & burrata which at first glance I thought would be sweet and refreshing. It was for sure that however, there was a surprise element of spice which really upped the ante.

From Office Hour To Osetra

The weather is changing for the better making the last hour of the work day the worst! Once I’ve completed a full days work it’s a made dash for Happy Hour. Being that most of my clients are downtown that’s where I do a lot of happy hours and I must say I’ve be underwhelmed. However, Osetra is officially my go to spot thanks to their great selection of delicious bites and beverages.

Welcome 2019 With The Whiskey House

Let the countdown to 2019 begin! Brace yourself for the hundreds of obligatory “Do Better”, “New Goals”, and “New Me” post on social media. For the past two NYE I’ve found that it’s best to keep it intimate and I plan on keeping that tradition alive this year. Why stand in absurd lines, both to get inside the club and again at the bar once inside, when you can spend that time enjoying those closest to you.

We are in the home stretch of the holiday season and if you’re anything like me, the idea of cooking a huge meal just seems like a daunting and unnecessary task. So this year I’ve decided to let the professionals do the cooking and the dishes

Hidden Fish Has Arrived

I haven’t been this excited about a new restaurant opening in San Diego in a while. Sushi is one of the few types of food I’d happily eat every night! While there is no shortage of great sushi places, Hidden Fish raises the bar with its authentic Japanese style timed dining.

Gushing Over Greystone

Greystone has stolen my heart and become the best steakhouse I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. Yes, that is quite a bold statement I know, but the high touch service, menu selection, ambiance, and damn good food allow for me to say so. As a man who enjoys his whiskey I opted for an Old Fashionioned to start the evening off

Enjoying Everything Empanada

Last week I swung by Empanada Kitchen and it was without a doubt the best decision of the week! I haven’t tasted something new in a little while and since I’d never had an empanada, ever, I was super stoked on it. The selection is plenty, but not overwhelming and you also get a legend which shows you what it will look like. That’s especially handy if you’re anything like me and order half the menu, but have the memory of a gnat.
