From Office Hour To Osetra

The weather is changing for the better making the last hour of the work day the worst! Once I’ve completed a full days work it’s a made dash for happy hour. Being that most of my clients are downtown that’s where I do a lot of happy hours and I must say I’ve been underwhelmed. However, Osetra is officially my go to spot thanks to their great selection of delicious bites and beverages. The house Chardonnay has a light buttery taste and chilled to perfection. That pairs so well with the calamari and baby shrimp which is lightly dusted in a house seasoning and flash fried. Shrimp cocktail is a classic and I just can’t resist whenever I see it on the menu. These jumbo beauties showed up on ice with a cocktail sauce that had my taste buds doing backflips. For you sushi fanatics you must must must try the Specialty Roll. Crab, cream cheese & avocado, topped with spicy lobster, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and spinach tempura. Oh yeah it’s on another level, I mean wildly scrumptious. As if I weren’t on cloud nine already the yellowtail carpaccio arrived and after one bite it was straight to heaven. Thinly sliced topped with avocado, jalapeño, micro cilantro and placed in a savory ponzu sauce. AHHHHHHHHH it was just too much goodness to handle and by that I mean i ate the entire dish and contemplated drinking the ponzu residue. So if you’re looking for a wonderful experience after a long day at the office Osetra is the place.
