Crafting a Dress Code That’s Equal Parts Style & Substance

Recently I had the pleasure of reimagining the professional dress code for a small consulting tech company and let me tell you, it was fun. But it was also intentional. The goal? To create an environment where professionalism doesn’t require conformity, and where style is a tool, not a limitation They wanted guidelines that were polished but not rigid, inclusive without being vague, and stylish while remaining workplace-appropriate. The result? A gender-neutral, equity-driven approach to dressing that respects personal identity, cultural expression, and individuality across the board. This wasn’t about dressing down professionalism, it was about elevating authenticity. Creating this dress code reminded me that when people feel good in what they wear, they show up more confidently. More creatively. More themselves. Because when your workplace values innovation and individuality, the wardrobe should reflect that too. Check it out below!
