A Hankering For Hundred Proof

Hillcrest is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in San Diego and now thanks to Hundred Proof the cool factor just increased. Of all the lunch menus in town, this one makes my top 3. It's wonderfully diverse while still being very cohesive with plates such as Italian chopped salad, Hawaiian style ahi poke and many more. Munching At Mavericks

So, a few weeks ago I blogged about the coming of Pacific Beach's newest establishment Mavericks Beach Club. Well, it's here and the hype didn't do it any justice. The layout is brilliant and the decor is flawless, my favorite being the yellow wooden chairs. The menu packed just as much of a punch as the decor.

Venturing outside my normal bubble continues and my hunger has me back in the beach community. I must say, restaurants attached to hotels don't get enough credit. JRDN, located inside Tower 23, is a hidden gem worth experiencing! The calamari is simply perfection, being lightly fried and paired with broccoli and fresno chilies.
